March Madness

Oh is it already MARCH 2009? This year is flying by and I can't even keep up. So much is happening in our little neck of the woods. Wow!!!! Someone once told me "oh honey, it is great to have your children close together." Who ever that was was DRINKING SOMETHING STRONG or Smoking something. These kiddo's have got us spinning. We might have our living room complete by the time JP graduates. Haha. Both of the older boys, JOHN PAUL and BRANDON made the ALL-STAR BASKETBALL TEAMS AGAIN. I coached JP this year and we had our moments, we won some-lost some, and cried and rejoiced along the way. I think one of the hardest challenges I have taken on with my children, is to be thier coach. We fight ALOT!!!! However, that may be, WE are ALL going to all-stars. I was asked by the 1st place team in the Majors Division(JP's) to be his assistant coach. Then the Junior Division Coaches got together and asked me to take the B-Team Junior Division which is Brandon's. They felt I would and could do it. I was extremely honored by both and very proud of my boys for making it. So here we go. The tournament is two weekends away. We are on Spring Break this week YIPPEEEE!!!!

Which brings me to my other news. I started a part time job 3 weeks ago. It is the perfect job for me. I go in at 9ish and leave and 3ish so that I can take kids to school and be home by the time they get home. It is gooood pay tooooo. I love it. I am working for SCS Doors, Inc. They install all the commercial doors for hospitals, schools and businesses. Has nothing to do with the OIL INDUSTRY, so it might be a good thing in the end. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and was asked if I knew of anyone wanting a P/T Job. I said maybe me. I got it. I am excited, but it has been a long time since I have worked a normal office job, and so today, after 36 loads of laundry and cleaning the house. I think I am ready for it.

Now for Joe and Hannah- Joe has started baseball. The other boys will too, after spring break. That will be crazy, baseball after two hour basketball practices per boy. Ya anyone want to take that advice up there, just beware whats down the road for you. Hannah- well she tried out for 1st and 2nd grade Basketball last weekend. She PUKED all over the gym floor as they were making announcement. She was so nervous. Thence forth another little girl puked and we thought we were going to have a big line of pukers. No! That was all, but needless to say Hannah's Mother drafted the little puker and her own little puker. WE are going to be called the "LADY PUKETTES" haha. Not really, we are the LADY WILDKATS. So she will start practicing week after spring break tooo.

As for JOHNNY- he has no family. He is the cook, the cleaner, and the paycheck according to him. OH POOR BABY!!!!!!

Oh and I am also getting ready for GIRLS CAMP in my freeeeeeeeeee seconds of LIFFFFFFEEEE

SWING BATTER BATTER SWING

We have just finished our All-Star Baseball Tournement that was held in Midland this year.
John Paul made the 10-11 age All-Stars, Brandon was too young to make it this year, however; he is our little All-Star he had one heck of a game in the Stanton Tournement. This little team came up through the loosers bracket and ended up having to play 3 games starting at 7:15 am Saturday morning and ended the day at 10:45 pm game that had gone into 3 extra innings trying to beat the undefeated team. As we had eaten everything out of the concession stand, (Hannah making great friends with them all and making sure I spent every dime in my pocket) I was along with everyother mom excited to see the game finally come to a close. We were very proud to be taking a 2nd place trophy home over having to start another game at 11:00 at night. Brandon pitched those 3 extra innings to keep tying up the inning. Great Game B. Joe played his 2nd year of C-Ball which they used the machine this year. He was a catcher and did a great job. He was actually hitting better this year and we saw great improvement. John Paul like I said made his 2nd year at All-Stars. He didn't get to pitch or catch which is where he loves to play. We won't go there as far as that goes, but he was placed in the out field at center and left and did a fantastic job. He caught many of balls hit out into the out field. In this age group and from here on out that is where the action is. I am so proud of him. He always plays wherever they put him and has yet not failed the position. They think they can hold him back by placing him in out in the positions that he might make an error, but he proves them wrong. So in the tournement after he had a great play, they put him where he couldn't do anything and that was the BENCH. Politics I tell you are great. But my children are growing and learning that life doesn't always give you what you want, so make the best of what is given and don't let anything hold you back. I am so proud of my boys. I enjoy every living breathing moment of watching them excel. Great SEASON Contreras' Boys Mom Luvs you

So This Christmas...2007

I thought it would only be appropriate that my first post featured some of the most important little ones in my life (with the thought of Ally, Taylor, Mikayla, Addie, Lauren, & Aubrey).  This was Christmas Eve, just after the kids had opened their new pj's & slippers and were headed to bed so that the adults could begin the all night wrapping party.  What a great and dreadful night it was for all and all a goodnight!
